The Gospel Choir placed 1st in the HBCU Black Hall of Fame Gospel Choir Competition on Sunday, October
1, 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia – hosted by Dr.
Bobby Jones. The choir received $3,000 in prize money, a guest spot on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show, and recording options
from Verity Records.
